RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a kind of computer data storage, which allows the info to be read randomly without accessing the preceding bytes before that. That makes the RAM considerably quicker than other sorts of storage devices such as DVDs or HDDs in which all the data has to be read to be able to access certain information. If you have a shared hosting account, the exact amount of memory that your web apps can use may not be fixed and may often be determined by the free memory that's available on the physical machine. Using a standalone server, however, there's always a minimum amount of physical memory that shall be at your disposal at all times and won't be assigned to other customers even if it isn't used. That is valid with our virtual and dedicated servers.
Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers
If you choose to host your Internet sites on a VPS server bought from our company, the amount of RAM you will get with it will be guaranteed and will be available all of the time no matter what. The VPS accounts are set up on powerful web servers and when your virtual server is created, the RAM memory included with the particular plan will be "locked", so even in case you use only a part of it at some point while another VPS account is using most of its resources, we will not assign the free RAM from your account even for the short term. This is valid if you upgrade the total memory of the virtual server too - the additional amount shall be added to your current account permanently. You will be able to upgrade either your entire package or only the server’s RAM with a few clicks inside the billing CP.
Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers
All our dedicated server plans come with a massive amount of physical memory, that will enable you to run very heavy web apps with no problems. We use brand-new and thoroughly tested hardware components when we set up a new web server to ensure that there will never be any issues of any type. The RAM memory is not an exception and when you obtain a dedicated server, we'll make sure that you get the best functionality possible from the configuration that you have selected. Even if we determine that you're not using the total capacity of the server, we shall not alter the hardware in any way, so the amount of RAM that'll be available shall always be the same. You are able to check the configuration, including the physical memory, within your billing CP at any time.
