Use Ad-Aware 2009 to Remove Malware from an Infected System
Ad-aware 2009 is a useful browser tool software which can clean up mess malware, with it will scan your system in the advertising link. Today we will have a look at how to use it to Remove Malware from an infected system.
Scan Malware
Note: One of the good thing of Ad-Aware 2009 is that once you installed it, it will automatically check for and download updates.
After the updating process has finished, you will be asked to restart your computer. After restarting, the window shown below will pop up and then you can start your scan for malware by clicking on the "Radar Symbol".

You will see the following window after you have clicked on the "Radar Symbol". It is highly recommended to choose "Full Scan" if you want to get the best results for removing malware. You can see the areas that will be checked and the types of malware that will be scanned for. Just simply click the "Scan Now" button at the bottom to begin.

Note: the scan time will vary with the size of your system(i.e. the amount of files, etc.).
After Scanning
In the result window, you will find that there are drop down menus for each category to allow you to select the specific type of action to be taken.

Here is the options on the drop down menus. The default setting is "Recommended", you can choose the action that best suits your needs.

In this example, we chose "Remove all" for each category. Each item category listed was a definite problem.
Note: If you have no idea of which action to take, a quick search using Google, Bing, or another search engine should easily provide adequate information to help you decide which action is the best one to choose.
Also there is an option to "Set System Restore Point"(recommended option). Click the "Perform Actions Now" button at the bottom when you have finished choosing your settings.
Note: After you have selected "Set System Restore Point", Ad-Aware will "appear" to not be working for a moment. This is nothing to worry about since Ad-Aware just creating the System Restore Point.

Removing the Malware
In this example, you can see while removing the malware, a suspicious file was brought to our attention. Here, we chose "Submit" the file for evaluation by Lavasoft.
Note: Submitting suspicious files is recommended and helps improve future scan results.

After dealt with any suspicious files, you will see the following window displaying the results of the actions that you selected. Notice that you may be prompted to "Reboot Your Computer".

During the system reboot, you can see the following types of action being taken by Ad-Aware.

Conclusion
Actually Ad-Aware can not remove everything by itself (like any anti-malware software), but if you want to keep your operating system clean and healthy, Ad-Aware is a good choice for you to meet your demand.
